"Structural Resonance" is an intricate ceiling installation, combining industrial engineering with contemporary art. Measuring approximately 5.2 meters in width, 7.8 meters in length, and 0.7 meters in height, this steel structure is suspended 2.5 meters above the floor, evoking the complex network of utility conduits and building infrastructure systems.
The installation celebrates the intricate ballet of construction and engineering, capturing a journey toward safety and assurance. It draws inspiration from high-tech architecture, where the influence of modern engineering and new technological paradigms is palpable. Structural expressionism is at the core of this work, conveying a language of strength and resilience through its robust yet elegant form.
The prominent use of red throughout the piece acts as a beacon of safety and action, mirroring the colour's prevalence in construction machinery and safety devices like scaffolds and cranes. This vibrant colour emphasizes the importance of urgency and protection in the construction industry.
